A dream of mine has always been to work in the field of sports. I've grown up being surrounded by boys, watching every sport imaginable, and growing to have a love for the competition and passion that gets put into every play. Being that I'm not exactly an athlete, I'll take the next best thing; sports PR or marketing.
Just because your team is winning doesn't mean the fans care or even know about what's going on. This is where I would come in. Working in sports PR would allow me to do things like press releases, sports journalism, media relations, broadcasting, and anything having to do with getting the world as excited about sports as I am.

James: Missed Opportunity
One of history's most memorable moments in sports was made just this past summer when LeBron James not only left his hometown team, the Cleveland Caveliers, for the Miami Heat, but also allowed Maverick Carter, the CEO of his public relations firm, to make a huge mistake for James' image. When the time came for the country to hold its breath and watch as the world of sports momentarily stopped spinning, LeBron didn't take advantage of the question that every athlete gets asked in any monumental moment of his or her career; "What are you going to do next?" When he announced his decision to leave the Cavs, he forgot to mention that one famous line; "I'm going to Disneyland."
